Why Provide a Specialist Asian & Ethnic Counselling Service?
In today's society some of the younger Asian & Ethnic generations are facing difficulties and challenges by trying to keep a "Balance" between their Parents & Family Values of Eastern Culture, Rules and Expectations, and the Western Culture in which many of them live in and were born into. This does not however, mean that the "Young Asian & Ethnic" generations do not Value their Roots and Parental upbringing, it just means that both generations need to have a "Compromise and a Balance" to enable them all to live life together in harmony.
"To Compromise and keep a Balance" is easier said than done, which is why I feel it is of great importanc to offer unique specialist Asian & Ethnic Cultural Counselling, Transpersonal Psychology and Mediation services for the "Successful Living" of both Parents and the younger generations. By showing them and helping them to understand the needs of each other, and allowing each individual their own space, time, respect and confidentiality.
Being born and brought up in London in both the Eastern and Western Cultures, I fully understand the presenting psychological issues that can and do arise for both the younger and older generations.
I encourage my younger generation Clientele to learn, respect and value their Eastern Culture, and to speak and communicate not only in the English Language but also, in their Mother Tongue. I also encourage my older generation Clientele to learn, respect and value the Westren Culture, creating a much needed Balance for healthier relationships, better understanding and a much more Positive Mental Attitude - PMA - all round.
